Key Responsibilities
Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation
Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
Determine applicable ratios, set up debt payment plans, and review loan agreements for accuracy
Communicate with clients to request or provide information
Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
Update account records and compute payment schedules using ERP systems
Collaborate with underwriters to resolve loan application issues
Stay updated on loan types and financial services
Assess customer needs, explore options, and introduce loan products
Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products
Ensure compliance with lending laws and regulations
Mobilize deposits to meet set targets
Key Performance Indicators:
Meet monthly loan and investment targets
Maintain low number of non-performing loans
Achieve minimum 90% customer retention across loan and investment products
Required Qualifications
B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
Proven experience as a Loan Officer
Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software
Solid understanding of lending products and practices
Strong sales and customer service skills
Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment and meet targets
