She Code Africa is seeking a People and Culture Associate to support HR and people operations, strengthen organizational culture, and enhance employee experience. This role ensures people practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s values as it scales impact.

Key Responsibilities
Support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll compliance, employee relations, and retention strategies
Assist with performance management and professional development programs
Manage employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs
Maintain HR documentation and ensure compliance with policies and labor laws
Assist with administration of employee benefits and compensation
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor regulations
Participate in employee engagement activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement people systems and employee lifecycle processes
Availability for occasional local or international travel
Required Qualifications
Open to fem3le candidates residing in Lagos, Nigeria
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or People & Culture roles, preferably in nonprofit, startup, or impact-driven organizations
Knowledge of core HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement
Familiarity with labor laws, HR policies, and basic compliance requirements
Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Google Workspace and HR or collaboration tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote work environment
