The Senior Lecturer will provide advanced teaching, research, and academic leadership in Nursing Science. The role involves curriculum development, student supervision, mentorship of junior staff, clinical coordination, and active participation in accreditation and quality assurance activities in line with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) standards.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing courses in approved specialty areas
- Coordinate courses and contribute to curriculum development in line with NUC and NMCN requirements
- Conduct independent and collaborative research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Supervise undergraduate projects and postgraduate theses/dissertations
- Mentor junior academic and clinical staff
- Coordinate clinical postings and liaise with affiliated teaching hospitals and health institutions
- Participate actively in accreditation, quality assurance, and curriculum review exercises
- Serve on departmental, faculty, and university committees
- Engage in community health outreach, professional practice, and continuing education
- Perform any other academic or clinical duties assigned by the Head of Department or University Management
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A PhD in Nursing Science or a closely related field from a recognized university
- Evidence of specialization in areas such as Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Community/Public Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, or Nursing Education
- At least three (3) years post-PhD teaching and research experience in a university or accredited nursing institution
- A minimum of six (6) scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Current registration and valid practicing licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Evidence of clinical practice experience in an approved health facility
