Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to oversee legal and regulatory matters, ensure compliance, and provide strategic legal support across business operations, particularly in finance-related transactions and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide legal advisory support on financial transactions, investment structures, and corporate finance agreements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and governance documents in line with business objectives.
  • Interpret and advise management on applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements affecting business operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide legal and compliance frameworks, policies, and training programs.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all business units.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Liaise with external counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies on company matters.
  • Support internal audits, investigations, and respond to inquiries from regulators when necessary.
  • Provide legal opinions and guidance to management on corporate governance and operational decisions.
  • Stay updated on legislative developments, regulatory trends, and industry best practices.
  • Assist the GM, Legal & Compliance, in executing departmental and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at industry consultations, policy advocacy forums, and stakeholder meetings.


Required Qualifications


  • LL.B and BL qualifications (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 9 years post-call experience, with at least 6 years in finance, corporate governance, or compliance-related roles.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and financial transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide sound strategic advice.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
